IFAPA's Current Goals

• Ensure total elimination of any retaliation against foster parents who speak out for their foster children or themselves.
• Encourage foster parent agencies to adhere to the "Foster Parent Law."
• Strive to keep an open and honest dialog between IFAPA groups/members and the IFAPA Board of Directors, so we are able to help every foster family in Illinois.
• Establish consistency throughout the foster care system.
• Provide liability insurance for foster parents, or immunity from frivolous lawsuits.
• Exact a reimbursement rate commensurate with the true expenses of foster care, including a built-in annual cost of living adjustment.
