GUARDIAN CAN

• Establish child's residence anywhere with in California without a Court order
• In absence of a Court-ordered visitation schedule, make all decisions regarding parental visitation
• Make a decisions regarding the child's education, sports participation and driver education
• Consent to the child obtaining a driver's license
• Give consent for medical treatment
• Consent to the child enlisting in the Armed Services of Foreign Legion
  
  

GUARDIAN CANNOT

• Change child's residence to a state other than California without a Juvenile Court order
• Change the child's religion
• Legal guardians are not entitled to the child's earnings
